Outcome: Successful repositioning of the business under a compassionate, client-centered brand that reflects Orla McGrogan’s supportive approach to divorce consulting and mediation.

The Challenge

Orla McGrogan is a divorce consultant whose work is deeply informed by her background supporting women affected by domestic violence. Through her consulting and mediation services, she helps women navigate the emotional and practical complexities of separation with clarity, confidence, and compassionate support.

When Orla approached Curator, her business was operating under the name Kickstart Divorce Consulting. While the name suggested forward momentum, it did not fully reflect the calm, supportive, and steady presence that defines Orla’s work with her clients.

The project required a thoughtful repositioning of the brand—one that would communicate both professional credibility and emotional safety. The visual identity and website needed to create a sense of reassurance for women navigating one of the most difficult transitions in their lives, while clearly communicating the services Orla offers as a consultant and mediator.

The Solution

Curator partnered with Orla to reposition the brand through strategic renaming, compassionate messaging, and a visual identity designed to evoke calm and clarity.

As part of the brand development process, Curator’s CEO and lead designer, Lauren Killam, created the name Peaceful Path Divorce Consulting & Mediation through collaborative discussion with Orla. The name was developed through Curator’s human-led naming process and was not generated using AI tools.

The new name immediately communicates the supportive, steady guidance Orla offers her clients. It reflects her belief that separation can be approached with dignity, clarity, and thoughtful decision-making.

Building on this foundation, Curator developed the brand identity, wrote the website copy, and designed a custom website that presents Orla’s services in a clear, reassuring way. AI tools were not used by Curator in the development of the brand name or the website copy for this project.

The result is a brand experience that feels compassionate, grounded, and professional, helping prospective clients feel supported from their first interaction with the business.

Brand Positioning

The positioning for Peaceful Path Divorce Consulting & Mediation was shaped around the emotional realities faced by many of Orla’s clients. Women navigating separation are often dealing with significant stress, uncertainty, and difficult decisions that affect their financial security, family relationships, and personal wellbeing.

Because of this, the brand needed to communicate far more than professional expertise. It needed to convey safety, steadiness, and compassionate guidance as a presence that reassures clients they are not facing the process alone.

Orla’s work is grounded in a deeply human-centered philosophy shaped by her experience supporting women affected by domestic violence. Her approach prioritizes respectful communication, thoughtful decision-making, and empowering clients with the information and support they need to move forward with confidence.

The brand positioning therefore focuses on presenting Orla not simply as a divorce consultant or mediator, but as a trusted guide through a complex life transition. Her services bridge the gap between emotional support and practical strategy, helping clients navigate both the personal and logistical challenges of separation.

This positioning informed every element of the brand, from the tone of the website copy to the calm, nature-inspired visual language, ensuring the overall experience feels grounded, reassuring, and supportive for the women she serves.

Brand Identity Design

Orla provided two guiding principles for the visual direction of the brand:

• Clients should feel a calm connection to nature throughout the brand experience

• Blue should play a central role in the colour palette

With significant creative freedom in the art direction, Curator developed a visual identity designed to evoke peace, clarity, and emotional grounding.

The palette centers around calming shades of blue, complemented by soft neutrals that create a gentle and welcoming atmosphere. The colour system reinforces the brand’s focus on guiding clients through separation with steadiness and compassion.

Typography was selected to balance warmth with professionalism, ensuring the brand feels trustworthy while remaining approachable and supportive.

Website Strategy & User Experience Design

Curator designed and developed a custom 13-page website using the Showit platform, creating a welcoming digital environment where prospective clients can learn about Orla’s services and feel reassured about taking the next step.

Because many visitors arrive at the site during emotionally challenging circumstances, the website prioritizes clarity, empathy, and ease of navigation.

Service pages explain the different ways Orla supports clients through separation, including divorce consulting, mediation, and guidance through the practical decisions involved in ending a marriage.

The website also includes a blog designed to support client education, offering articles that help women better understand the divorce process and feel more prepared as they navigate important life decisions.

Throughout the site, the design and messaging work together to create an experience that feels calm, supportive, and empowering.
